BarkerGilmore is pleased to announce the newest addition to its Coaching and Advising team, Maureen Brundage, the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Ethics Officer of The Chubb Corporation. Maureen joins an illustrious team of former General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officers, collectively offering a range of advising and coaching services for legal and compliance departments.
For over 10 years, Maureen Brundage led the global law department of The Chubb Corporation, one of the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurers, managing a multimillion dollar budget and overseeing legal, regulatory, and compliance operations in 25 countries. Maureen was instrumental in redesigning compliance and ethics programs, global risk management, and cyber and data security. Throughout her time at Chubb, she made employees a priority, introducing professional development initiatives, advising the Hispanic & Latino Employee Resource Group, and speaking frequently to women’s organizations. Previously, Maureen was a partner at White & Case LLP, heading the Global Securities Law Practice Group and leading a worldwide team of over 150 people. Maureen’s experience leading global law departments, including through periods of change and transition, informs her approach to advising services such as Succession Planning, Managing Mergers & Layoffs, Motivation & Retention of Key Individual Contributors, Corporate Secretary Function and Governance, and Executive Coaching. The tools and methods that distinguished Maureen throughout her legal career are the foundation for her consultancy.
